Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) announced that pediatrician Dixie D. Griffin, M.D. and family physician Robert J. Hawes, M.D., F.A.A.F.P. have joined the hospital’s medical staff and will be practicing with Affinity Health Group.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Griffin provides expert medical care for infants, children and adolescents, including routine health supervision, physical examinations, screenings, acute illness treatment and hospital care. A native of Tifton and a graduate of Tift County High School, Dr. Griffin earned her medical degree and completed pediatric residency training at the Medical College of Georgia. She is also a certified lactation consultant.

Dr. Hawes is a board-certified family physician who has practiced in Moultrie for more than 13 years. Dr. Hawes is now available to provide outpatient care at Affinity for family members age two and above. His services include management of chronic diseases, routine gynecology, acute illness care, complete physical exams and wellness education. Originally from Smyrna, Dr. Hawes earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed a residency program in family medicine at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
