The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons has granted three-year accreditation with commendation to the TRMC Oncology Center. This follows an on-site evaluation by a physician surveyor, in which the TRMC Oncology Center and Tumor Registry staff demonstrated commendation-level of compliance with national standards.

The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) awarded the TRMC Laboratory accreditation based on the results of a recent inspection that met and exceeded stringent requirements. The TRMC Laboratory is one of nearly 7,000 CAP-accreditated laboratories nationwide, achieving high standards of care for lab patients.

The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) also awarded TRMC’s Respiratory Care Department full accreditation after a recent survey. In addition, the TRMC Respiratory Care Department has earned Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) for the seventh year in-a-row by the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC). Only 15 percent of all hospitals in the U.S. have applied for and received this distinction. Hospitals that meet the QRCR requirements provide a level of respiratory care consistent with national standards and guidelines.
